Harlan Howard loved to fish. It was a life-long hobby. A night of fishing was about the only thing that could turn down the music in Harlan's head. He loved Center Hill Lake. He spent forty years and four wives on CHL. Every Thursday at noon, Harlan headed east past Smithville then on to Sligo boat dock. It was a clear, full moon night, Harlan liked fishing at night with black lights the best. He filled up his tank and raced across the lake to his favorite fishing spot.

As he began to fish, he started talking to the man in the moon, this particular night the man in the moon started talking back.

Conway Twitty had a #1 hit in 1984 on the Harlan Howard tune, "I Don't Know A Thing About Love" I don't know if Harlan Howard caught any fish that night, but he and the man in the moon wrote a great song!

Sunday, October 23rd, "I Don't Know A Thing About Love" comes home. The moon will be shining big and brightly in the sky. I don't know about you, but I will be talking to the man in the moon.
